It is our goal that every single one of you can feel comfortable in our salon.
We hope you understand that these following procedures are necessary, but please remember we are your friendly Number 8 Hairdressing team behind our masks.
We cannot stress enough that if you feel unwell, have any symptoms or have been in contact with anyone who has tested positive or is awaiting results, Please, do not come to the salon for your appointment.
We all need to keep each other safe.
The advice from the Government is:
Do not leave home if you or someone you live with has any of the following:
- a high temperature
- a new, continuous cough
- a loss of, or change to, your sense of smell or taste.
- Check the NHS website if you have symptoms
Measures that we have in place in the salon:
Please arrive at the front door of the salon, which will be locked, at your allocated appointment time, late arrivals may not be able to be accommodated. Please, where possible, come alone there will not be any waiting area available. We have a doorbell which we please ask you ring so we know you have arrived.
Please wear a mouth and nose covering. We are staggering appointments so there should not be anybody else waiting but, if there is another client, please social distance on the pavement outside.
Please use the hands-free sanitiser immediately, all doors will be open for less contact points and the hand rail will be disinfected between each arrival. We are operating a one-way system and we will show you how to navigate.
You will then be shown to your position where there will be a clean, freshly laundered gown – please put this on. This will be your seat for the duration of your visit.
We ask clients to keep their belongings with them, there will be a chair next to your position to place your coat and bag. We ask that where possible you do not bring any shopping bags with you.
Our toilet will be available for use, and we will be cleaning frequently throughout the day.
The salon will be laid out to give social distancing between each client.
Your hair will be washed, this is compulsory as there will be no dry cuts. We will be using disposable towels.
Payment is by card only; we will no longer be taking cash. The card machine will be disinfected in front of you.
We would prefer not to use paper appointment cards and pens, so we will ask you to put your next appointment into your phone calendar, if possible.
Your stylist will then lead you out to the front door. Be aware that there may be another client waiting to come in, social distancing must be adhered to while leaving and entering the salon.
As the Government are running a track and trace system, by coming to the salon, you are allowing us to forward your name and contact details to any Government official or National Health England that may require it to help with track and trace. We have our own unique QR Code which we will invite you to scan
All these risks and measures will be monitored daily and changed as we see fit.
Thank you for your continued support and for choosing Number 8 Hairdressing as your hairdresser – we appreciate it.
Warmest Regards
The Number 8 Team
