Getting Ready for the Wedding Day

To ensure the morning goes as smoothly as possible, please read through carefully so that our stylists are able to stay on time on the wedding day.

Once we have received your deposit, your wedding date will be secure in our diary.

We recommend that you book in for your trial roughly 8 weeks prior to the wedding day. Overseas brides, out stylists are happy to meet you in the week leading up to your wedding day.

On your hair trial, please ensure if you have your hair coloured that is has no longer than 4 weeks growth from your previous colour. We also ask that all brides have a trim on the ends of their hair before the trial as any split ends can affect the finished result and will not give you a true reflection of how your bridal hair will work.

We want your wedding hair to be perfect for you, and so at this point we need to gain an idea into your preferred style. To enable our stylist to have a good idea on what you would like and also what you wouldn’t like, we ask that you find 3 photos of bridal hair that you love, and 2 that you definitely don’t! If possible, the images that you find need to also been in the same hair colour that you have yourself.

Alongside the above images, please also send us an up-to-date photo of yourself with your hair down. Feel free to also ask any questions that you may have.

We want every bride to feel comfortable on their wedding day, so please let us know if there is anything you feel particularly uncomfortable about. For example, if you like to have your ears covered, a scar or mark on your face you like to be covered or preferring to always have a fringe. If you’re planning on having extensions used in your hair on the day, please let us know if you will be supplying them or if you need us to provide them for you.

Once we have received all the information from yourself, we can then advise on whether we feel you will need any paddings in the hair or extensions used. We can then also advise you on the best head pieces, flowers and veils that will work with your hairstyle.

Wedding Day Preparations

To ensure the morning goes as smoothly as possible, please read through carefully so that our stylists are able to stay on time on the wedding day.

Before the day:

  • Please wash your hair the night before the wedding.
  • When washing your hair, use 2 shampoos to the 1 conditioner. Products by Pantene, Palmolive, Tresemme and Sunsilk are not to be used in the hair as these products are silicone based and will make the hair too soft and slippery to work with.
  • Please do not use any products in the hair after washing. For example, serums, smoothing creams or argon oil.
  • Blow-dry the hair as smooth as possible without putting a straightening iron over it. If you feel you cannot achieve this then please book in for a wash and blow-dry at the salon the afternoon before the wedding day.

On the day:

  • Please ensure you wear a loose top or button-up shirt, with no collar. No woollen or silk clothing or hoodies are to be worn near the nape area.
  • Please don’t apply any face creams near the hairline on the morning of the wedding.
  • Of any part of the bridal party is not ready at the allotted time or hasn’t washed and dried their hair, an additional cost will be applied of £50 per half an hour delayed and £20 for every blow dry needed.
